I made a (temporary!) fork, as demonstrator, for an easy testdrive. If forks or adding new features with ui impact are not welcome, I will scrap it.
Its only 9 lines of code to add, but it adds a dependency and it changes the UI behaviour. In general I'm not a great fan of adding dependencies, but in this case I see mkcert as an convinience tool and less critical infra.
Adding some more/better knownledge/awareness to the main target audience what mkcert really does in the background - could be useful.
