Action Performed:

  1. Click on "New" > "New chat"
  2. Search for a new contact and click on the contact

Expected result:

The chat status of the newly created chat should not be unread for the sender/creator

Actual result:

The chat status becomes unread even if it is the sender's account and the new chat is already open

Workaround:

Can the user still use Expensify without this being fixed? Have you informed them of the workaround?
