This release of Powershell Module for automating the installs, configuration, upgrade and uninstalls of ArcGIS Enterprise using Microsoft Windows PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration) provides a few bug fixes. The release assets contain the PowerShell Module and sample configuration files.

Bug Fixes

  • (#98, #102) Fixes Race Condition while waiting for the portal when configuring Portal Web Adaptor.
  • Remove Passwords from being printed to Log File or when running in debug mode.

Supported ArcGIS versions are 10.4.1, 10.5, 10.5.1, 10.6, 10.6.1

Supported OS Platforms

  • Windows 8 (8.1) or Windows Server 2012 (R2) (WMF 5 (Recommended) or WMF 4 (Minimum requirement) is preinstalled.)
  • Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 (WMF 5 (Recommended) is preinstalled. Nothing more to install)

  • (#98) Upgrades - Removed ExternalHostName as Server WebAdaptor doesn't have such a parameter defined.

This release of Powershell Module for automating the installs, configuration, upgrade and uninstalls of ArcGIS Enterprise using Microsoft Windows PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration) provides some bug fixes, a couple of new features and a deprecated feature. The release assets contain the PowerShell Module and updated sample configuration files.

New Features

  • Support for external load balancers (HAProxy, F5, Nginx, etc.)
  • (#90) Support for multiple node level SSL certificates with the ability to specify mulitple or single target component (Server, Portal, WebAdaptor, LoadBalancer) for each of the SSL certificates.

Deprecated Features

  • (#90) Deprecating support for Global SSL Certificates in JSON Configuration File. This is being deprecated in favor of better support for node level SSL Certificates.

Bug Fixes

  • (#89) Get FQDN resolves Ip into standard PTR format, it should have resolved either to machine name or just returned an IP. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_DNS_lookup#IPv4_reverse_resolution)
  • (#93) Fixing ArcGIS Enterprise Endpoint URLs output at end of the configure ArcGIS job.
  • (#96) Portal Unregister resource encoding fixed to UTF8.
  • (#97) Fix for Server Upgrade Configuration, Windows Service Resource wasn't imported and one of the conditions failed due to type mismatch.
