Many tutorial issues for a relative newcomer comfortable with code

I have put together the attached .pdf with a number of issues that I encountered when working through the tutorials. Thanks so much all of your efforts.

The tutorial definitely has issues and I appreciate the thorough look and the detailed comments.

I took a stab at an illustration of the relationships between GitHub Desktop, PlatformIO, etc. @aufdenkampe and @tahickson, provide comments and I will edit. Currently it's a lot of text that I would rather have in the tutorial than in the figure.

There are a lot of comments to discuss and I don't have the bandwidth to volunteer to tackle all of them, but I would like to note that the line of too much information at once will vary by tutorial user and we will have to make decisions about how much information a tutorial user will need in each stage. Thus far we have found that very few users fully read what we have provided.
