I just had a job on edison fail with the following log info:

Submit job case.run
Submitting job script sbatch --time 29:00:00 -p debug --account acme case.run
ERROR: Command: 'sbatch --time 29:00:00 -p debug --account acme case.run ' failed with error 'None'

If I ran this sbatch command on the command line, I get more useful log info:

sbatch: error: Batch job submission failed: Requested time limit is invalid (missing or exceeds some limit)

Thus it seems that case.run is dropping important error messages from the batch system. Can this be fixed? I don't see this as a top priority since I can usually figure out what's going on via other means, but it seems easy to fix and would simplify life.

Ah, thanks @worleyph . I guess my deja vu was real this time. I guess this issue is redundant w/ #1396 but illustrates this is still a problem and it isn't just on titan. Still not the highest priority though.

Yes, the title to #1396 should be modified. But the fix "is in the mail" according to @jgfouca .
