Make input profiles functions of wall distance

For some case, environmental flows to my understanding, it would be good to prescribe profiles based on wall distance instead of x, y and/or z coordinates.

The radial component which can be described in the input file, is a special case of distance from the wall. Radial coordinate is distance from the wall by definition. This can be used as a first step for the implementation.
