Epic: Updated DOE LEAD Data

Description

The DOE LEAD data will be updated to provide more accurate scoring and mapping of energy burdens. These updates will reflect the latest energy data, giving users insights into key energy cost burdens affecting communities. Updates will be visible across the downloadable DAC community file, interactive map, and sidebar.

Expected Outcomes for Users

Updated Energy Scoring: With refreshed DOE LEAD metrics, users will be able to view updated indicators for Disadvantaged Communities (DACs) based on energy burden factors, including:

• Energy Cost: Census tracts in the 90th percentile or above will be highlighted as areas with high energy costs. This update will be visible in both map visuals and data views.

This update will ensure DOE LEAD data is aligned with the latest available information, reflecting current energy challenges in DACs through map, sidebar, and data views.
