Update FUDS Data
Updating FUDS data will provide more current information on Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) across census tracts. Users will see these updates reflected in the downloadable DAC community file, interactive map, and sidebar.

Expected Outcomes for Users

Updated Burden Scoring: The FUDS data update will help users identify DACs (Disadvantaged Communities) affected by proximity to former defense sites:

• Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) Presence: Census tracts with FUDS locations will be highlighted, indicating areas with potential environmental and safety risks associated with these legacy sites. This information will be accessible in the map, sidebar, and downloadable file.

These updates will allow users to better understand the environmental burden posed by FUDS in impacted communities.
