Summary

Description

It would be great to a have a list of Improvement Proposals, better titled as Bitgesell Improvement Proposals(in short BIPs)

  • An improvement proposal can range from protocol changes to standard changes in the Bitgesell core software, an most importantly at time of existence the Improvement proposal can be in any of the following states:
  1. Draft Proposal
  2. Rejected Proposal
  3. Accepted

A list of proposals that are relevant and interesting to work on for Bitgesell can be found here: https://github.com/naftalimurgor/bips

A summary can be view here(Excel sheet): https://github.com/naftalimurgor/BIPs
[edit]: add an updated BIPs repo (Bitcoin BIPs) fork

@gitcoindev
We can look into any and try implementing as we prepare for the next release?

Hi @naftalimurgor thank you for reaching out. I would prefer to start after all my currently open PRs are processed, they have been open for quite some time. Some parts were already migrated, some not and @janus discussed with @wu-emma in another ticket that he will merge them together with syncing with Bitcoin commits until July 31st. Only then I will know the actual most current state and be able to continue from there.

Hi @gitcoindev

Thanks for the response, I'll keep an eye on the PRs so we can start over with any of the BIPs and do the implementation.
Thank you
