Supporting Wildcards in staticwebapp.config.json

I'm looking for suggestions to implement custom routing logic in the staticwebapp.config.json file. I need to map various URL patterns to specific HTML files, as described below:

/app* -> /app/index.html
/t/*/-> /index.html
/t/*/app*-> app/index.html
/o/*/ -> /index.html
/o/*/app* -> /app/index.html

fallback: index.html

This is what i've tried so far:

      "rewrite": "/app/index.html"

This seems to break due to having two *.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
