This issue tracks the re-adding of a template/script which can verify the OS that a job is running on to ensure that it matches what we expected. This is because in the past the Azure DevOps hosted pools have mistakenly routed our requests to the wrong agent. The requirements are:

  1. Works with 1ES hosted pools (Windows and Linux)
  2. Works with Azure DevOps hosted pools (primarily macOS moving forward)
