Describe the bug

visualStudio 2022 xaml code press F12 cannot go to definition , wpf is ok , avalonia is not, why?

To Reproduce

code xaml :

<Button Name="btn" Click="btnClick"></Button>

code-behind
 public void btnClick(object sender, RoutedEventArgs args)
 {
     //do some stuff
 }

press F12 cannot go to definition , wpf is ok , avalonia is not, why?

Avalonia is not WPF and we have our own extension. Since MS doesn't develop the Avalonia extension, such features are much harder to implement.

Tip

Rider has much better support for Avalonia out of the box imo. You can give it a try with their trail version.

This does work in Rider though as Rider has official support for Avalonia. Also if you install Resharper (which Rider is built around) in Visual Studio, most things with Avalonia in Visual Studio work much better.
