Comment

Duolingo displays a banner advertising their mobile app. It does so regularly, for example after a finished lesson, after a page refresh, etc.

You don't need an account to start learning, but I'm not sure if this banner also appears before you create an account. The banner does not normally appear on desktop, but it appears if you use Firefox developer tools to simulate an Android smartphone.

The AdGuard mobile app banners filter does not have the word "duolingo" in it.

Not reproduced on my end.

The AdGuard mobile app banners filter does not have the word "duolingo" in it

In fact, we have rules for the site there. However, some of them are not supported by uBlock Origin.

@zloyden zloyden closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Jan 22, 2025

Looks the same as #169811 which was fixed by trusted-click-element scriptlet, so it's not available in uBO filters.
