INDIVIDUAL questions we need to answer for EACH member of the team: (Ref #10)

  • Educational background
  • Professional experience
  • Role and responsibility on team
  • Your personality in three words
  • If you’d like to share any links about yourself – such as LinkedIn, Twitter, a blog?
  • If you’d like to share your CV with us please upload it here.

GENERAL questions we need to answer for the application:

  • Why are you the best team to make this idea work?
We are the best to make this idea work because we specialize in software development of iBeacon back end management tools, iPhone apps, and also are closely involved with iBeacon related projects worldwide.
  • Describe Request in a tweet:
We help teams collaborate more efficiently with location based action items that keep teams on track.
  • In more detail, what problem does Request solve?
Every morning people mentally manage things they need to do throughout the day. Unfortunately things are often forgotten and remembering things like your work to do list at home does not help you until you are at work. This type of location based information is important and most urgent since people are always moving. To address this importance, we have created a voice recordable to do list that allows users to assign to do items to specific locations. Locations can be set by iBeacons that we will sell and by geographic location in the future.
  • How will Request generate revenue?
We will be a SAAS/ subscription provider and sell iBeacons. We already have an iPhone app and we are partnering with iBeacon manufacturers to offer our customers a selection of iBeacons with different power supplies so users can select the appropriate ones for their needs.

For general consumers, we have and will create free apps available within the iTunes store with links to purchase beacons.

For commercial clients, we will have two service levels. An enterprise level service and a SME level service.

Enterprise Service:
We will create customized apps and use a SAAS subscription model to offer an enterprise hardware beacon management system that includes Bluetooth beacons, a wireless beacon management device that will act as a hub, and a backend management interface for the commercial client to control what content is distributed to which beacon.

SME Service:
A subscription service for smaller teams to create and manage location based to do lists.

  • Website if you have one:
    reque.st
  • Company overview, prototype or proof of concept:
    https://itunes.apple.com/app/id926026469
  • Who is your target customer?
Small to medium sized enterprises interested in collaboration apps.
  • What sort of traction do you have?
We have already created an app for general consumers as our version 1.0 as a proof of concept and will be adding new features to expand the capabilities in our next version that will provide more value to our users and open the door for small to medium sized businesses.
  • Who is your biggest competitor and what makes you different?
We do not have any competitors in this space. Because we use Apple's latest iBeacon technology, nobody makes a location based to do list that has our level of accuracy. We will be able to serve our customers with reminders for their to do lists to an accuracy of several meters.
  • What is the biggest challenge you’re currently facing?
Our most urgent challenge is to get version 1.2 released so we may offer new feature enhancements from the feedback we have received from our version 1.0.

Possible "biggest challenges" are:

  • Create our own branded iBeacons hardware.
  • App adoption rates
  • Tell us about any experience you’ve had with other accelerators, incubators, competitions, mentors or related programmes.
    None
  • Have you registered Request? If so, in which countries? Yes, Hong Kong
  • What is your funding status? Self funded so far.
  • Would you need financial support to join the blueprint accelerator? If so, how much?
  • Why are you interested in blueprint and what do you hope to achieve in the six months?
We aim to have a collaboration platform created for SME businesses and work groups and signing up 100 teams per month.
  • Can you commit to being in Hong Kong for the full duration?
    yes
  • How did you hear about us?
    online.
