in nodejs version 16.6.1 it gives me this error

node:internal/modules/cjs/loader:1183
  return process.dlopen(module, path.toNamespacedPath(filename));
                 ^

Error: The module '/home/myuser/Desktop/proyect/myapp/node_modules/canvas/build/Release/canvas.node'

NODE_MODULE_VERSION 83. This version of Node.js requires
NODE_MODULE_VERSION 93. Please try re-compiling or re-installing
the module (for instance, using `npm rebuild` or `npm install`).

since I don't have canvas installed I assumed it was an error from the captcha module

This isn't an error with this package, that's what happens when you update NodeJS without updating compiled node modules. If you do npm ci it should fix it.
